Surprised the translator punts on воля instead of going for, like, “the will.” (As we’ve all learned, in Ukrainian воля means freedom.)
No no, apparently the word "untranslatable" is there in the text! She uses French for "freedom."
We Slavs are always giving ourselves too much credit.
lolol yes, I'm always skeptical of claims that one's own language has utterly untranslatable ways of being human. But, to use a uniquely American idiom, she really sells it!
